A & B Barker recently did a job at my property, and I couldn’t be happier with the work that they have done. From the initial consultation to the finished result the team at A & B Barker have been brilliant.

It was a big job involving an unsafe wall at the back of my house being demolished and rebuilt. This also required a large tree and several smaller trees to be removed. It seemed to be such a huge job, and I was a bit concerned beforehand about how things would go. But I needn’t have worried!
A & B Barker ensured that everything went smoothly.

The team who carried out the work were amazing; professional, polite, and hardworking. They kept the site clean and secure whilst the work was ongoing, and they got rid of all the debris and waste leaving my garden really tidy.

Also, the office staff were very helpful and kept me fully informed throughout the process.

I would definitely use this firm again.

Dear Brian,

I would like to express to you, how glad my wife and I are that we chose your quote for the building of our extension to accommodate a wet room instead of the others that were submitted. We were impressed with your approach and your team of tradesmen that assisted you in the task undertaken.

They proved themselves skilled and adept in the construction of the building and all aspects of their trades.

They were at all times courteous and friendly towards us and assisted us when asked for explanations etc. On completion of the project, we saw the finished item and we were both delighted with your team’s efforts and the finished article, a PROPER JOB, definitely.

I cannot praise these guys high enough for their levels of professionalism and courtesy throughout the project. Being a family based local business I would highly recommend these guys to anybody. LOOK NO FURTHER!

We have had extensive work done to our house by Brian and his wonderful team. From the first time I met Brian when he came to assess the work required, I felt total confidence. I was extremely stressed about the whole process, but Brian put me at my ease and took the project in his stride.

Unfortunately, we had to live in our property whilst the work was carried out, which made it difficult for them and us, but they were extremely professional always willing to explain anything to me in layman’s terms and always left our property as tidy as they possibly could.
I’m sure most other builders would have refused us, but once I met Brian, I knew they were the ones and never felt the need to contact anyone else for comparable estimates.

There were of course, hurdles along the way as you would expect from a 130-year-old property, but nothing overwhelmed them, and Brian always managed to calm me down, and assure me they could deal with any issues that arose.

I’m going to give a shout out to everyone who came to work here because they deserve it!

So, thank you so much to:-
Craig, Bobby and Josh, my favourite plasterers anywhere!
Larry, Elliot and Mick the electricians.
Karl, Danny and Harvey the joiners, who, as well as doing my skirting boards, new door frame and stabilising my loose floorboards, did their absolute favourite task of fitting 3 new curtain rails! 🤣🤣
And of course, Wayne, for the lovely new radiators.

And last, but definitely not least, Brian for fixing my landing ceiling from being held together with the old Artex so promptly 😳😳, and my beautiful new back gate 💕

I’m absolutely thrilled with all the work they have done, pre-emptied and Columboised (just one more thing Brian, or, can you just 🤣🤣)

I have no idea whether the prices are reasonable to anyone else, but to me it was absolutely worth every penny.
